Friendly staff, good food & hometown coffee shop
Every time my son and his family come home, we go to the Plaza... Love this place..
The food was pretty good, although the much-touted pie was quite mediocre (I had pecan and my husband had coconut meringue). The waitress very obviously didn't want us to be there though. She basically ignored us (had to ask twice for refills on water) and instead hung out chatting and eating her own lunch at the bar. You know how servers like to push the desserts so you'll spend more and they'll get a bigger tip? She seemed almost annoyed at us for ordering pie. It was a little weird. But I guess small-town diners are supposed to be quirky?
