I only gave one star because I had to to post a review. This place is run crooked as hell by the manager, Keith. I worked there for 5 months, and I NEVER missed work unless it was an emergency. On August 23, 2017 I woke up with a fever of 103. I texted the assistant manager at 9:30 am and told her I had a fever and needed to go to the doctor and wouldn't be able to work that day. I wasn't scheduled to work until 3 pm which was plenty of notice to find a replacement. They made me go in anyway, and they made me work 3pm-830pm with this high fever before I was able to go to the hospital. My husband kept my vehicle that day, and before I got off of work, he stopped at O'Reilly's across the street to get some parts for our truck while he waited. Keith had told me that if we weren't busy, I could leave between 7pm and 8pm if I wanted. I stayed until 830pm and left. We went back to O'Reilly's before they closed and I left from there to go to the emergency room. I learned the next day, the key holder was following my truck and was keeping tabs, down to the minute, where I was at so she could report it to Keith. I was diagnosed that night with acute bronchitis and an upper respiratory infection that had already reached my lungs. I was on the verge of pneumonia. So they gave me medicine and a doctor's note to stay out of work from the August 24-August 27. Keith got upset because I had to miss my shift on the 24th, and texted my phone telling me that even though he was aware of my doctor's note, that he had no other options than to make me work on August 26th. And told me as well as other employees that if I didn't show up, he was firing me. So to avoid losing my job, I was forced to work AGAINST DOCTORS ORDERS. That Monday, he informed me that he had hired 2 other people and he was cutting everyone's hours. Mine were the one hours that were cut on the next schedule. He PENALIZED me for being sick and having a doctor's excuse to miss ONE DAY of work out of 5 months. After that, it was constant harassing and nitpicking to punish me for being sick. On September 10, 2017, I was scheduled to work until closing time (11pm). Which required me to clock out for my 30 minute lunch break. I clocked out for lunch, went to get myself something to eat, and when I got back to work, I stood outside my truck to finish a cigarette before I went in to eat. There was a woman waiting in the drive thru, who had apparently been waiting quite a while for the other girl to wait on her, and after 15 minutes of waiting, she got mad and left. She called and complained that I was outside smoking and she waited forever. Which I was not aware of. Keith called me at 2 pm on September 12, 2 hours before I was supposed to work and fired me for it. I called the district manager, Mitch, and told him if he would review the cameras and the time slips, he would easily see that I was CLOCKED OUT for lunch, and they fired me for very unjustified reasons. He informed me that the woman that complained happened to be a very dear friend of his and she wouldn't lie to him, and that he felt no need to investigate it. He told me I couldn't have my job back unless something opened up in another location. That he wasn't going to place me back in the Benton store, but if I wanted to search for employment elsewhere, he would be happy to give me an excellent reference. To me every bit of this was unjust and unfair. Not to mention ILLEGAL. I pity anyone who works for Keith Walker at Benton roll n up, and despite my previous opinions, Mitch isn't all he's cracked up to be either.
